Trees at Heaven in the Hills

Our Story

Bradford Moore

G’day, I’m Bradford, manager and co-owner of Heaven in the Hills, alongside my mother and sister. This unique property was originally built around 2003, but we became its custodians in January 2024, drawn by the beauty, stillness, and deep potential of the land.

After months of careful renovations and thoughtful updates, we opened to the public on 8 August 2024, with a vision of creating something more than accommodation — a space of rest, renewal, and reconnection.

Rooted in Nature and Wellness

Set on nearly ten hectares of rainforest and ridgeline above Maleny, Heaven in the Hills is completely off-grid, solar-powered, and deeply connected to the land it rests on. Every structure — from the cosy cottages to the restored train carriages — has been curated for privacy, comfort, and a quiet kind of luxury.

Whether you're here for a few nights away or for a dedicated wellness experience, you’ll find that the real magic is in the simplicity: birdsong at dawn, a mountain view by the fire, stillness under the trees.

Wellness That Works with You

Our small wellness centre offers a carefully chosen range of therapies to support your mind, body, and spirit:

  • Floatation Therapy for deep nervous system reset

  • mHBOT (mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) for cellular repair

  • Red & Near-Infrared Light Therapy for energy and inflammation

  • Infrared Sauna for detox and circulation

  • Crystal Light Therapy for alignment and clarity

  • Massage & Sound Healing with trusted local practitioners

Whether you’re staying overnight or visiting as a local, we welcome you into this space with the same warmth and care.

What Guides Us

We’re not a resort. We’re a retreat — and that distinction matters. We’re guided by a few simple values:

  • Authenticity: Nothing here is artificial. From the timber cabins to the down-to-earth welcome, we offer what’s real.

  • Sustainability: We run entirely off-grid, with solar power, low-impact practices, and a deep respect for the land.

  • Wellbeing: Every therapy, every layout, every detail is chosen with rest and repair in mind.

  • Presence: We want you to feel seen, supported, and unhurried. That’s what true care looks like.

More Than a Stay

What makes Heaven in the Hills different isn’t just the accommodation — though it’s charming. It’s not just the therapies — though they’re powerful. It’s the feeling. A sense that you’ve landed somewhere gentle, somewhere real, somewhere that invites you to slow down and be.

Whether you're soaking in the magnesium pool, lying still in a float tank, or simply watching the light change from your private deck, we hope this place gives you the space you need to come back to yourself.
